Eight subjects.
Eight specialist teams.

Each subject is led by a tutor who only teaches their core specialism — nobody is a generalist. Discover the subjects your child needs help with and see how we approach each one.

Choosing A Level subjects is one of the most important decisions on your child's study-abroad journey. Each subject affects more than the grade — it determines whether your child meets the entry requirements for the field they want — and the wrong combo can quietly close university doors without parents realising.

At Times Edu, we don't just teach individual subjects — we advise on subject selection strategy matched to your child's target degree, university, and real ability. Below is the full list of 8 subjects we teach, with the details parents and students need to make a confident, informed decision.

"No A Level subject is inherently easy or hard — only the right or wrong fit for your child's goals."

Pick the right trio — open the right door

Each field has its own "golden trio". The wrong combo can close university doors without you realising.

🏥 Medicine & Dentistry

Chemistry + Biology + Mathematics

Chemistry is virtually required by every UK university. Biology is "expected" for most Medicine programmes. Mathematics is the safest pick for the third subject.

⚙️ Engineering

Mathematics + Physics + Further Maths / Chemistry

Maths + Physics is virtually required. Further Mathematics significantly improves your odds at Oxbridge, Imperial, and other top programmes. Chemistry is preferred for Chemical Engineering.

📈 Economics & Finance

Mathematics + Economics + Accounting / F.Maths

Mathematics is "essential" for most UK Economics programmes. Economics builds the theory foundation. The third subject depends on direction: Accounting for banking, Further Maths for LSE/Oxbridge.

💻 Computer Science & AI

Mathematics + Computer Science + Further Maths / Physics

Maths + CS is the standard pairing. Further Mathematics is a major advantage at Oxbridge and Imperial. Physics fits if your child is going into hardware or robotics.

🏢 Business Management

Business + Economics / Mathematics + 1 flexible subject

Be careful: some UK universities treat Business + Economics as "overlap". Check the specific requirements of your target university. Mathematics is always a safe pick.

🔬 Biomedical Sciences

Biology + Chemistry + Mathematics / Physics

Biology + Chemistry is the "essential pair" for most Biomedical programmes. Mathematics provides the data-analysis foundation. Physics fits Biophysics or Medical Engineering tracks.
