A Level Accounting
Accounting is the subject of absolute precision — one wrong number and the whole answer collapses. But it's also the "easiest to score" if you have the right approach: every question type has a fixed template, every step has clear logic, and examiners mark very fairly — right step = marks awarded.
A Level Accounting has a feature few other subjects share: if you understand the logic, you virtually can't go wrong. Every balance sheet, every income statement, every journal entry follows the double-entry principle. Once you master this principle, every exercise is just a variation of the same logic.

Double-Entry First
Everything in Accounting flows from the double-entry principle. We spend the first 2 weeks ensuring students deeply understand this — not just mechanically, but logically. Once this clicks, every subsequent topic becomes a natural extension.
Template Mastery
Every accounting question type (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) has a fixed template. We provide exam-ready templates and drill them until students can complete each format from memory under timed conditions.
Error Prevention
In Accounting, prevention is better than cure. We teach systematic checking: does the trial balance balance? Do the adjustments net to zero? Does the Balance Sheet equation hold? These checks catch 90% of errors before submission.
Real-World Context
We connect textbook exercises to real financial statements (listed companies on HOSE, NYSE). When students see that the Income Statement they're preparing mirrors what Apple publishes quarterly, the subject comes alive.
Your specialist Accounting companion
A graduate of University of Manchester with a BSc in Accounting & Finance, our Lead Accounting Tutor brings both academic rigour and real-world clarity to every session. His approach is systematic: every accounting concept is taught through the lens of double-entry logic. Once students master this single principle, they often find that every exercise is just a variation of the same core idea — and the subject suddenly becomes much less intimidating.
Questions about A Level Accounting
Just comfort with basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages). No calculus, no complex algebra. Logical thinking matters more than advanced calculation skills.
Accounting leans toward calculation and data analysis, Business leans toward essay writing and strategic analysis. If your child likes numbers → Accounting. If they prefer writing and analysis → Business. Many students take both.
Very useful. Accounting + Economics + Mathematics is the strongest trio for Finance, Banking, and professional Accounting (ACCA, CPA). Many UK universities consider A Level Accounting as 'desirable' for these degrees.
Accounting shows the fastest improvement of any subject we teach. Because the logic is systematic, once students 'get it,' scores jump dramatically — often from D to B within 4-6 weeks, and B to A within another 4-6 weeks.
Accounting isn't hard. It just needs to be taught the right way.
